Rebecca Hyson is an accomplished and dedicated registered nurse based in Melbourne with an extensive career spanning over two decades of compassionate care for others. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the Australian Catholic University, she has developed a strong focus on evidence-based practice, continuously striving to enhance her professional knowledge and skills.
Currently, Rebecca is pursuing further studies in Palliative Care, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of the latest advancements in her field. Rebecca's dedication to disability caregiving extends beyond her professional life. Right after completing high school in Sydney, she gained valuable experience working as a Support Worker in State-run Group Homes and began witnessing the diverse challenges that individuals with disabilities face in their daily lives. This two-decade journey has shaped her empathetic approach and deep understanding of the unique needs of individuals with disabilities. Rebecca is also passionate about empowering women and girls, acknowledging the profound and lasting impact it has on communities. She believes in the importance of providing support and guidance to women and girls, enabling them to thrive and make meaningful contributions to society.
As a registered nurse and mother of teenage children, Rebecca intimately comprehends the emotional challenges that accompany a career, caregiving, and raising a family.
